The Kaka Challenge and Coconut Ice Cream

Believe it or not – two posts in three days!!!

As I am a giant soccer fan (I think most of you already know that), I am also Kaka’s biggest fan. Kaka is a Brasilian soccer player who plays for Real Madrid. I have been slightly obsessed with him for the last seven years or so. Anyway back to the point of my story, I follow him on Twitter and he often tweets to his fans. Well I have made it my mission in life to get him to tweet to me. I am posting this on my blog, because it will be nice to have your support while I try to get my favorite athlete in the world to talk to me.  I’ll keep everyone posted!

So though I didn’t have time to accessorize my outfit, below is a photo of me with my friends H and T on my birthday. I wore a simple gray and white dress from Discovery and threw on some Old Navy flip flops for our casual dinner. I liked it.

Sunday I went to P.F Chang’s with my mom for a dinner. We rarely go out for dinner together, and my mom hates Chinese food but I really wanted some Banana Spring Rolls. We took the order to go, and they forgot my coconut ice cream! I was really upset! The coconut ice cream is essential to the Banana Spring Roll dessert. Needless to say, I called them and the manager said they would “send something over right away” and took my address. So I waited and no one ever came. I asked my friend Amiga since she worked there before and she wasn’t sure what he meant by that. Hopefully he’ll just send over some coupons or something. I really love the coconut ice cream.

I was feeling very nautical on Sunday and decided to wear a white tank top from Old Navy and a blue skirt from Nordstrom. I paired the outfit with these super cute silver sandals from Discovery, red pearl bracelet and a silver necklace with my nickname on it that I bought from Disney World. The outfit gave me a very understated sailor look, without making me look like an American flag. Below is also a picture of what my Banana Spring Rolls should have looked like.

I used to wear a ton of color and dress up my regular tshirts, but I feel like lately I haven’t been dressing up my everyday outfits. I got a new t-shirt from Aeropostale and I really wanted to wear it, but I wanted to keep it trendy and not just throw on a pair of jeans. I decided to throw on a yellow tank top from Discovery under, bright blue Dickies bermuda shorts and yellow Old Navy flip flops. I also wore my new mustard yellow bracelet I bought from Disney World with my name on it. It sounds like a lot of weird colors, but it actually looked really cool.

Today, I just went to work with my mom so I dressed casually but tried not to be underdressed. I bought these plaid bermuda shorts from Aeropostale last summer but I had gained some weight and was unable to fit into them. I have since lost some weight and was finally able to rip off the tags today!! I wore them with my new Ed Hardy sneakers (which were a birthday gift from my friends H and T!!), a gray tshirt, a teal tanktop and once again my name bracelet and nickname necklace. Casual, but trendy!
