Ole Caliente

P325

Tomorrow is Friday yay! I had my mom paint my nails for me last night and decide to use Essie’s Ole Caliente. I purchased it awhile ago and haven’t had a chance to use it but I figured I would go for it. It is a firey-orange-red color and it is perfect for summer! Usually I prefer OPI because of their bright colors but lately Essie has been using bolder colors and seem to be moving away from the pastels. Don’t get me wrong, I love to wear pastels too but sometimes I want a crazy color in the summer. What summer colors are you using? Do you prefer bolder colors or pastels?

Summer nails!!

Ahh!! I’m back from vacation finally. It took a long while but I am back and I have a ton of amazing pictures I am sure I will be sharing with you shortly! As for now… I wanted to show you my awesome nails! I used “Mint Candy Apple” by Essie and then used OPI Pros & Bronze to make 3 stipes on each of my ring fingers. I think it’s super fun and different and not too bad considering I did it on my own. In all honesty, the reason I took the picture so far away is that the stripes don’t look that amazing close up, but from a distance they look great.

I also painted my toes Mojito Madness by Essie. In case you didn’t already know…. I LOVE GREEN! It’s my absolute favorite color.  I apologize in advance for the bad lighting and the way my feet look awkwardly red. I wanted to get this post out during lunch so I did this as quick as possible.

What are your summer nails looking like? Are you rocking crazy nails? Feel free to send over pictures and I will feature them here!

Have a great week everyone!

Anna’s Nails!

Today, instead of showing you my own nails, I have decided to show you my friend Anna’s nails. She sent me this picture a few days ago, and I knew I had to share it with all of you!

They are a super fun hot pink China Glaze color and she went ahead and added a gold micro glitter to it for that extra glam. My favorite thing is that she painted each nail with a different design. It’s a fun take on summer nails. Can you believe she did this on her own? I wish I had that artistic ability.

My Dream Dress

I’ve been doing my best to keep at this blog. When I actually post, I am really excited about it. But like everyone else in the world, I have a million other things going on and I get easily distracted. I promised myself to be better about acutally keeping you up to date on what is going on and I think I am doing a pretty decent job so far.

My friend got married two weeks ago and I used that as an opportunity to wear my dream dress! Now, I know what you are thinking… “sure… you are always looking for dresses, what makes this one so special?”

Well, I’ve been wanting this specific dress for months and couldn’t find it anywhere. I saw it online and had to have it, so of course I ordered it 3 times and went to numerous boutiques and NO ONE HAD IT! I’d been looking for it since June and finally found it in October. The last time I was this obsessed with a dress was my Sue Wong dress that I first saw on Pretty Little Liars. I mean come on… a girl is allowed to have a long and a short dream dress… right? Haha. The entire dress is turquiose with dark purple flowers on it. The top is full of gems that trail down the left side of the body. It caught my eye as soon as I saw it, even though I rarely wear patterned formal dresses. I added cap sleeves to it, as the dress was originally strapless.

The best part of the entire outfit was definitely my nails (of course). I took out all my nail polish and was able to find a perfect match to the base color and the flowers! On my fingers, I used “Turquoise and Caicos” by Essie with a “Vampsterdam” by OPI flower. On my toes, I did the opposite. I decided to do “Vampsterdam” as the base with a “Turquoise and Caicos” design. I think it looks pretty fun.

All in all, the wedding was a great time and I’m very excited for my friends. I know they will be very happy together and hope the best for them. I ran into her yesterday and she was very happy :).

Finally, my blog is getting a much needed makeover. I hope to have it all set up and ready to go by the end of the week. I hope you all will like it! It’s definitely a lot more colorful than what I have now (see I told you I am getting serious about this posting thing).

Happy Monday!
