Viggle Review

I watch a lot of TV and follow tons of TV shows. If I can’t watch Pretty Little Liars live, I won’t go to bed until I have watched it. I also can’t miss Revenge, Once Upon a Time and Glee (just to name a few).

Do you like to receive gift cards and rewards for doing something that you usually do anyway?!

Well I came across this awesome app called Viggle that allows you to “check in” to different TV shows and earn points. You can cash these points in to get gift cards and other rewards. You get one point for every minute you watch. There are also featured TV shows that offer extra points when you check in to them. It is important to remember that you can’t check in to a show you are watching on your DVR or OnDemand. I’ve been using this app for a couple of weeks and have already earned almost 7,000 points. I am sure it will be a lot easier to get points in the fall when all my favorite TV shows return too!

Have you tried Viggle? What are your favorite TV shows to watch?

*I was NOT compensated by Viggle in any way and the opinions expresed in this post are my own.

Summer Sales and a Great Haul!

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! It was really nice to have the day off and hard to get back to work today. On Tuesday I went to the mall with my sister and my mother and they were having some amazing sales! I apologize in advance for the horrible photo quality, I took the photos on my phone.

I was looking for zebra print jeans after I read Confessions of a Shopaholic. It seemed strange, yet interesting. Right before I went on vacation I saw an adorable pair of zebra jeans at Guess before I went on vacation but they were a little pricey so I figured I would wait until they went on sale. Since I was at the mall on Tuesday, I figured I would check in on my pants and see if they were on sale and they were! The sale price was still a little expensive but they were offering an extra percentage off sale items and they happened to have my size so I couldn’t say no! I can’t wait to wear them!

I also got lucky enough to pick up a few items from Lord and Taylor. They were offering some great discounts and I got a few great BCBG pieces.

I was watching Pretty Little Liars a few weeks ago and fell in love with a top that Hanna was wearing. I know they usually dress her character in BCBG (a favorite designer of mine) and immediately went looking for it and found it! I would have loved the snake skin top but was able to snag it in yellow! I am really excited to wear it with the teal skirt for a great colorblocking effect. I have those Michael Kors sandals in black already, and these are my sister’s but I definitely plan to wear them a lot.

I also got this adorable dress that I wore to work today. I paired it with a coral cardigan from Banana Republic, a yellow tanktop from Old Navy (because the back is open) and neon coral flip flops from Old Navy. I also wore a bracelet from Forever 21 and a gold and bronze necklace I got when I was on vacation.

We made a stop at Forever 21 and I got some great basics that I can’t wait to wear. I am super happy about the maxi dress because they are usually too long but this wasn’t. I got a teal button down to wear under a blazer and a mint cardigan. I love to buy the tank tops at Forever 21 because they are only $2.50. They don’t usually last beyond a few washes, but they come in a ton of colors and are perfect to wear under sheer tops. I also got 3 skinny belts for $4.50!

Ole Caliente

P325

Tomorrow is Friday yay! I had my mom paint my nails for me last night and decide to use Essie’s Ole Caliente. I purchased it awhile ago and haven’t had a chance to use it but I figured I would go for it. It is a firey-orange-red color and it is perfect for summer! Usually I prefer OPI because of their bright colors but lately Essie has been using bolder colors and seem to be moving away from the pastels. Don’t get me wrong, I love to wear pastels too but sometimes I want a crazy color in the summer. What summer colors are you using? Do you prefer bolder colors or pastels?

Jimmy Choo!

So… last week I decided to get crazy at the same time that Neiman Marcus was having a wonderful sale!  I actually went ahead and purchased my first pair of Jimmy Choo heels! They are coral peeptoe slingbacks and I got them for a steal. It was between these Jimmy Choos and a pair of Manolo Blahniks but the Manolos just didn’t fit as well and had an awkward point at the ball of your foot. I was sure I wouldn’t be able to walk in those heels for more than an hour. I haven’t actually worn my heels out yet, but I did put them on and they were extremely comfortable. I know I made the right choice! What do you guys think? Have you ever had anything that you had been waiting to purchase and were able to snag it on sale?

Summer nails!!

Ahh!! I’m back from vacation finally. It took a long while but I am back and I have a ton of amazing pictures I am sure I will be sharing with you shortly! As for now… I wanted to show you my awesome nails! I used “Mint Candy Apple” by Essie and then used OPI Pros & Bronze to make 3 stipes on each of my ring fingers. I think it’s super fun and different and not too bad considering I did it on my own. In all honesty, the reason I took the picture so far away is that the stripes don’t look that amazing close up, but from a distance they look great.

I also painted my toes Mojito Madness by Essie. In case you didn’t already know…. I LOVE GREEN! It’s my absolute favorite color.  I apologize in advance for the bad lighting and the way my feet look awkwardly red. I wanted to get this post out during lunch so I did this as quick as possible.

What are your summer nails looking like? Are you rocking crazy nails? Feel free to send over pictures and I will feature them here!

Have a great week everyone!

More Outfits and I’m on Vacation!

As always, I am back with a bunch of outfits!

This outfit is an awesome for summer and spring. The tanktop and button down are both from Forever 21. The tanktop was really long and the button down was really short, so I just tucked the tanktop into my jeans to balance it out. The jeans are from Delia’s and the brown sandals are from Steve Madden. My silver bracelets are from many different stores and my necklace and watch are both Guess. I also wanted to show everyone my purse because I was really excited about it. It’s Guess and I actually got it in December and have been waiting for spring to wear it. Coral and turquoise are big staples in my spring wardrobe and I think they are will be big colors this year.

I know you already know that I love blazers but I just love it! They are so awesome! I work in a very casual office but I like to wear blazers to keep me from dressing down. The flowered top is from Urban Outfitters and this oversized pink blazer is from Forever 21. The tank top (can’t really see it) is from Charlotte Russe.  The jeans are Guess and my nunde peeptoes are from JCPenney, I am not sure of the exact brand, but I really like them because they are simple, match EVERYTHING and are very comfortable. In all honesty, I wasn’t wearing these all day, I had a fitting at the tailor and decided to keep my heels on for the rest of the day (hehehe). I accessorized this outfit with my Burberry watch, Michael Kors bracelet and a necklace from Forever 21.

The next outift I want to showcase is super colorful. I have been on the hunt for mint jeans for awhile now and finally found them!! I couldn’t wait to wear to wear them! They are Guess and I got the last pair they had at Lord and Taylor. The top is New York and Company. I saw it when it was full price a few months ago but decided I would wait for it to go on sale. I stopped in with my mom and decided to browse through the sale section. I found the top but it wasn’t my size. A little known secret is if a store doesn’t have your size, some will call another store or their warehouse and ship it to your house for free. Of course not all stores will do that, and not all stores do it for free, but it never hurts to ask. I asked the woman at New York and Company and she was able to ship my size for me to my house free. I wore some turquoise bracelets from Forever 21 and my Steve Madden gladiator sandals.

I’m on vacation for the next couple weeks. I will do my best to actually do updates, but most will probably be photos.  Until next time!
