Welcome to My New Home!

Finally after months of trying to migrate everything from Posterous, my blog is up and running! I have had a ton of exciting adventures to share with you but couldn’t. You can definitely expect a ton of posts in the next few weeks while I try to catch you all up on my life!

I’ll definitely ease back into it with a picture of my outfit from yesterday. I was super excited about it!

The dress is from Express and is perfect for summer. It’s fun and airy and pairing it with another bright color (like this Gap cardigan) helps make it the dress for summer. I also bought this dress in coral with tan. I’m excited to try that soon!

My wedges were Tory Burch, and a lot more comfortable than they look. It may have been the platform in the front that helps keep my foot more level and still provides good height. I am not going to lie, the ankle strap can be a but annoying after awhile but nothing horribly aggravating.

Since the colors were so bright, I opted for minimal accessories: a necklace, a belt and my watch. I purchased my necklace in Brasil a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! It has the geometric shapes which I like, but the neutral light blue color makes it easy to pair with almost anything I own.

With the weather constantly changing, have you started wearing summer brights yet?

Guess Who’s Back!

I promise I will try to be good and keep posting new things! I’ve been soo busy with work and my sister’s wedding but I am going to do by best to keep posting.

My outfit today was a light pink sequined top from Express with a dark purple J.Crew blazer I got recently. I paired them with dark jeans from Old Navy and my brown Franco Sarto riding boots. I accessorized with my rose gold Michael Kors watch, a necklace from Charming Charlie’s and earrings from Forever 21.

Did you have a cute Monday outfit?

Finally a new post!

Hey Everyone! I’m back from my trip and I’m definitely glad to be home. :)

In all honesty, I have been back for a couple of weeks but I just haven’t had any time to update. Here are a few great outfits I’ve worn over the past week and wanted to share.

This outfit is super casual and fun. The shirt is from Armani Exchange (my sis got it for me for my birthday) and the cardigan is from Forever 21. The jeans are from Delia’s (as usual) and the boots are from Old Navy. This is great to just throw on whenever I have somewhere quick to go.

Here’s another casual outfit I liked. A teals t-shirt from Max Rave, a peach Guess tanktop, a tan cardigan from New York and Company and jeans from Target. I can wear jeans to work, so I wore this to work one day. I think its casual and the fun colors kept it from being plain.

This outfit is not very fall-y but I really wanted to wear it and I don’t care about wearing white after Labor Day. The outfit has a tanktop from Charlotte Russe (not shown), a tanktop from Target and white jeans from Delia’s. I paired it with some flip flops from Old Navy, a silver necklace with my name on it (not shown) and a Disney silver charm bracelet (not shown).

My friend BB celebrated her 23rd birthday on Tuesday (Happy Birthday!) and we went out to dinner to celebrate her birthday!  I wore a new Express dress, with leggings from Discovery. I paired the dress with a gray knit cardigan from Discovery and black pumps from BCBG. I accessorized with a black wristlet from Guess (not shown), silver necklace from Express, black chandelier earrings from Forever 21 and a silver bracelet from New York and Company

I also went shopping a couple times and got a ton of great pieces! I can not wait to share them with you! Have any of you gotten any great fall pieces recently?

I haven’t forgotten about you!

Sorry I promise I haven’t forgotten about you, I just haven’t had a minute to post. Here is something that can hopefully tide you over for a little bit (even though it will throw off my timeline later).

Monday:?

I wore this great patterned turtleneck tee from Express that has a cutout in the front. It’s really funky and not my style, but I thought I would buy it and actually enjoy it. My jeans are from Delia’s?and my flats are Charlotte Russe. The flats are actually very comfortable considering Charlotte Russe heels are not! I wore my black pearl necklace and my matching bracelet that my dad bought me from a trip. I think it looked pretty good!

Tuesday:?

I had a really cool hippie outfit on but I didn’t take any pictures because I won tickets to the Chicago Fire game and went to that instead of blogging (sorry). It was great. I never turn down an opportunity to see Brian McBride – he’s one of my favorite players to EVER play for the U.S. They Fire was playing Pumas and they won 1-0 with a goal from Conde. To be honest, it wasn’t that great of a game until Brian McBride came in in the last 20 minutes. Did he really do anything? No, but I like my players and it makes it more entertaining to see them. I will never forget the 2006 World Cup match against Italy where he got a bloody nose, changed his jersey and came back to keep playing. I think thats enough about soccer for one post though.?

?

Wednesday:?

Today I wore a plum Express turtleneck (surprise), New York and Company Capris and white RocketDog flats. ?I wore a blue Old Navy tanktop underneath and it makes the back of the shirt look really cool don’t you think? I am also wearing a Juicy Couture friendship necklace my friend Y got me for my birthday last year ( I heart her).?

Thats all I have for now. Hopefully I can upload my photos from last week (I have a lot) later.?

P.s. Congrats to my friend Dina on her engagement!!!!?

If You Ain’t Got No Money, Take Your Broke Ass Home!

Sorry for not posting outfits this weekend, I have been moving all weekend!

I have been so busy I am posting from the eL today. My friend Amiga (obviously a fake name) has a job interview tomorrow so everyone wish her luck!!

So now with the World Cup over I am sad and unsure of what to do with my time. I understand that they can’t have the World Cup every year (it might be considered overkill to other people), but how about every two years? I think that is a fair compromise. I should contact FIFA President Sepp Blatter about that.

So I dislike being treated like an idiot and being lied to by a company. Since I am moving I had to transfer my cable and Internet to my new house… Easy peasy right? WRONG! The technician who came out couldn’t do the job on his own, called his supervisor and scheduled an appointment tocome out the next day (Sunday). Sunday comes without a technician. I call and schedule another appointment for Monday. No one came out Monday. I called again today and found out that they put in tickets but that doesn’t guarantee they will come out. They will be here Thursday supposedly but we will see.

Anyway, here are my outfits for the last few days. I’m sorry I do not have an outfit from yesterday (Monday) because I fell asleep before I had a chance to snap a photo.

Thursday I wore this lace turtleneck from Express in dark gray. As many of you probably know (or will learn) I LOVE Express turtleneck tees. They are a staple in my wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. I am wearing jeans from Delia’s and my Aldo sandals.

Little known fact: I like sailor themed outfits. They are fun and always cute. Friday I decided to wear a sailor themed outfit since I hadn’t put one together in a long time. My blue and white striped dress is from Express and I paired it with a thick red belt. I also chose to wear white tights and white flats to keep it appropriate for the office. Thanks to my coworker for taking this photo of me. To top off my outfit I put on a silver key necklace I bought while in Brasil and my Betsey Johnson Fleur De Lis earrings (not pictured). Yes I know I look a little chunky in this photo but I wanted to show you the full outfit.

Sunday I had a wedding for my friend Y’s cousin. The below photo has my eyes closed but you can see the beauty of my outfit regardless. My amazing green dress is by London Times and I decided to pair it with gold accessories. My gold gladiator heels we purchased from Aldo (on sale) and though they aren’t in this photo I had a gold clutch from Express and wore real gold jewelry. I even wore my favorite gold piece, my kef. It’s an Arabic piece of jewelry that has a bracelet connected to a ring. If you want an awkward vision think of those people who have nose rings connected to their earrings. It’s like that — but not. My mother gave it to me for my 15th birthday and I just started wearing it again.

That’s all I got for today. Did you like my outfits?
